The term Franciacorta<\/strong> is attributed to an area that includes the following municipalities, all located in the province of Brescia: Adro, Capriolo, Castegnato, Cazzago San Martino, Cellatica, Coccaglio, Cologne, Corte Franca, Erbusco, Gussago, Iseo, Monticelli Brusati, Ome, Ospitaletto, Paderno Franciacorta, Paratico, Passirano, Provaglio d'Iseo, Rodengo-Saiano and Rovato.<\/p>\n

The territory is hilly and formerly dotted with woods, it has recently been transformed with the planting of numerous vineyards which characterize its peculiarity.<\/p>\n

Local authorities are committed to safeguarding its landscape and conservation aspect both from the physical side and from the historical-cultural point of view: in fact there are numerous architectural testimonies from antiquity (monasteries, churches, abbeys, villas and castles from the medieval era).
\nOn the southern border of Franciacorta is located the Mount Orphan<\/strong>, which reaches a maximum altitude of 451 m.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

The vine has been planted on the hills of Franciacorta since ancient times. Proof of this is the discovery of grape seeds from the prehistoric era and archaeological material found throughout the area as well as the various testimonies of classical authors, from Pliny to Columella to Virgil and we also know of the peoples who settled in Franciacorta and who we also know through historiographical evidence: the Cenomani Gauls, the Romans, the Lombards. The archaeological find represented by a grandiose temple architrave which, coming from Erbusco, was brought to Brescia and is now exposed in the fa\u00e7ade of the Palazzo del Monte di Piet\u00e0 della Loggia, is exceptional.<\/p>\n

In Paratico, in the middle of Franciacorta, the Vinea Ventis estate of the Spica Agricultural Company shines. A privileged position to give the grapes the sun and air they need to release all the typical flavors of the very famous "Bubbles".<\/p>\n

Despite boasting a long history, the new course of winemaking in Franciacorta began in all respects at the beginning of the sixties with the birth of the first wineries.<\/p>\n

At the end of the seventies, Italian winemaking experienced a phase of great ferment and in Franciacorta several entrepreneurs invested and focused on the cultivation of vineyards. In fact, even today many wineries that produce Franciacorta (including several belonging to the first fifteen) were founded by entrepreneurs from Brescia in the classic economic sectors widespread in the province.<\/p>\n

The production and marketing of bubbles has become increasingly important over the last twenty years, so much so that it has boasted the DOCG brand and has become known in the wine world for the high quality achieved.<\/p>\n

The name "Franciacorta" has over time become synonymous with the same DOCG sparkling wine produced in the numerous vineyards in the area, the European Union in fact grants only three wines in Italy the possibility of indicating the wine without other qualifying terms, and Franciacorta is precisely one of them. The surface area under vines today in Franciacorta is just over two thousand hectares.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
